Char Li's Angels: The Skull of Saint Diana - Part II

We start with a flashback to the previous evening and Duke Augustus' dinner where we learn more about what some of the troupe got up to during the evening.

• Zillah and Alexi(u)s manage to learn more about the legend of Saint Diana from some of the gossiping guests
• Belvoir takes the opportunity to engage in some light larceny, stealing silver cutlery and prestige crockery
• Zillah meets some of the Midian branch of House Justinian, including St Aldous Redwood Justinian

Moving back to the present the ship are shown around The Blessed Saint Horace and instructed on the quirks and "miraculous interactions" of expiator class starships (see: St. Paulus' Field Guide to Spacecraft published by Ulisses Spiele).

There is one additional passenger aboard the ship, a retired officer and veteran of the Emperor Wars. Colonel Sir Fa Zhou Li Halan (retd.). He is a quiet but pleasant old man with the bearing of a dignified veteran, who has been given this position of honour to accompany the return of Saint Diana's relic as a holy pilgrimage in his twilight years. 

The troupe settle into life aboard ship and find ways to occupy themselves on the journey.  Notably Zillah spends much time in meditation, Alexi(u)s leads the daily worship in the ship's chapel and Kibri enjoys the darkness of the ship (by avoiding doing the actions that trigger the lights).

They do begin to suspect that ship's captain and first mate are keeping something from them though and catch them referring to "her" being "out there"...
