A message to Muster Guild members

FROM THE OFFICE OF: Mjr. D Bloodnok, Regional Muster Command

 

Please be aware that the Guild has become aware of disruptive, church led, activity in the city of Suryada and it's surrounding areas. Activities involve wanton property damage and the threatening behaviour directed at freemen and guild members. Reports have reached the Guild hall that some altercations have escalated to open violence with even some reports of summary executions by lynching. It is believed that this matter is direct result of an altercation during a noble sponsored church service that took place in the city earlier this week but as yet the Hawkwood authorities seem unable or unwilling to restrain the excesses of church and peasantry.

 

If questioned on the subject the guild currently has no official statement to make at this time and we would advise that you seek Reeve counsel if you are interviewed in any official capacity.

 

We recommend that all Guilders who do not have a pressing need to remain in the city leave as soon as they are able. The Suryada Guild Hall will publish appropriate "All Clear" notices when the situation has been resolved and law and order restored. If you cannot leave the city at this time (e.g. due to existing contracts) you should only leave or be away from your billet or place of work for very limited purposes: commuting from billet to place of employ, shopping for basic necessities (for example food and medicine) which must be as infrequent as possible. Similarly if you need to go out to engage in a form of exercise, restrict this to once a day. In all cases. unless absolutely unavoidable, do not travel alone. At the very least travel with another member of the Guild but, if possible, travel in the company of a member of the Clergy is recommended.
